Neonatal Body Composition: Measuring Lean Mass as a Tool to Guide Nutrition Management in the Neonate
A new literary review on neonatal body composition appeared on ASPEN Nutrition in Clinical Practice Journal.
The aim of this review is to summarize what is currently known about neonatal body composition and the use of body composition as a measure for adequate neonatal nutrition.
The study concludes that neonatal body composition is an important aspect when evaluating neonatal growth and development. The importance of neonatal growth on long-term developmental outcomes has been well established.
